Sovereign Learning Institute ~ Private Christian School For Individualized Learning

Mission

A sovereign is a self-governing and independent individual who is only accountable to God. Our God fearing Founding Fathers created a country where We the People are sovereign and the government (servant) protects the rights of the people.

Mission: The institute will reveal and promote to individuals their sovereignty under the authority of God, by understanding and fulfilling the command of Jesus who said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Mark 12:37-39).

Sovereign Learning vs Public Education

Public education trains students to avoid and minimize making mistakes. Students are penalized for wrong answers on tests and it results in bad grades, which will negatively affect advancement and jobs. Students are trained to be obedient employees with the minimum knowledge and skills to function in an outdated work environment. Many employees are frustrated and dissatisfied with begging for raises, being passed on for promotions, and being replaced by cheaper labor and artificial intelligence (AI).

Sovereign Learning Institute: Parents will guide their children, with the help of Sovereign Learning Institute, to take control over their children’s spiritual disposition, educational preferences, individual sovereignty and freedom, financial independence, and entrepreneurial endeavors.  If students aren’t making mistakes, they’re not trying hard enough. “In the real world, the smartest people are people who make mistakes and learn. In school, the smartest people don’t make mistakes” ~ Robert Kiyosaki 1.  Making mistakes is a crucial aspect of learning and success. For instance, Thomas Edison failed 10,000 time while trying to create the lightbulb... Or did he? “I have not failed 10,000 times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those 10,000 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work” ~ Thomas Edison [2].

Students will learn to be independent and self-directed entrepreneurs, businessmen, economists, inventors, investors, professional athletes, advertisers, craftsmen or tradesmen, farmers, artists, medical practitioners, engineers, lawyers, scientists, and academics to name a few. The focus is on the subjects students are interested in, and how to function in their chosen field independently, rather than as trained employees doing as they are told. Students will learn that college is necessary for few careers and should be avoided at all possible.

Students will take control over many aspects of the Sovereign Learning Institute’s operations. Students will teach others, take on leadership roles, and advance the SLI message. Students will create and maintain the websites and social media accounts including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other avenues. Students will learn all aspects of running a business by examining the school’s business plan, local business plans, and Dr. Clark’s process of financial independence. How many teachers can guide students on how to achieve financial independence? Dr. Clark is one of the few. Students will create advertising projects to advance SLI’s marketing trajectory (examining what works, what doesn’t), and create money making opportunities after school hours at SLI. For instance, students might want to make a rock-climbing wall and an American Ninja Warrior style gym at SLI, and learn to manage, advertise, and develop the facility. Students will create t-shirt designs, logos, and various items to market to prospective customers all over the world.

At the Sovereign Learning Institute the opportunities are endless. In the public schools, the opportunities are few to none.

Communication: reading, writing, listening, public speaking, and an expansive vocabulary are vital for success as an adult. Students will be intense readers in the classics, theology, business and investing, biographies, and original sources. Writing ability has been declining for many years, “nearly three quarters of American students who took the first-ever computer-based national writing exam did not communicate effectively” [3]. Students will write daily in the forms of blogs, journals, book summaries, and stories to name a few. In addition, students will write to important and influential people around the world, and will invite them to speak at SLI to share their experiences and insights on various topics. Public speaking is a big problem in society. Dr. Paul L. Witt states that "The idea of making a presentation in public is the No. 1 fear reported by people in the U.S" [4].  Public speaking is important to persuade, inform, motivate, and make connections. Students will incorporate public speaking by sharing their writings in small groups every Friday, volunteer to share devotions in the morning, and generate sales in business.

Don’t Have a Slave Mentality, Have a Sovereign Mentality: “The old rules were you go to school, you get a job, you work hard, you save money and you invest for the long term in the stock market” ~ Robert Kiyosaki 5. These strategies are what schools, media, government officials, and mainstream talking heads promote. Unfortunately, if people follow this path, they will pay the highest taxes, work the hardest and longest for small wages, have the smallest savings and investments that pay the highest taxes, and retire the latest in life. People who are free create businesses, educate themselves, pay less taxes or no taxes, invest in real estate, gold and silver, future technology (blockchain, AI), and retire young impacting the world for God.
